Visit to the Municipality of Gacko

The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik visited the municipality of Gacko today, where he met with the management of the municipality.
The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that the head of this municipality, Ognjen Milinković, has his full support to create an optimal organisation in the Municipal Administration and announced the continuation of the support of the republic’s institutions in the implementation of significant projects in that local community.
The President Dodik announced that in the coming period, he would work on the continuation of implementation of important projects such as sewage, sports hall, canal network through Gatačko polje, as well as that he will give his support to rehabilitate a part of the road through the centre of the municipality.
The President of the Republic stated that Mayor Ognjen Milinković and the leadership of that municipality inherited many problems, such as a huge debt that exceeded the entire municipal budget, and an excessive number of employees.
The President Dodik stated that more than 220 people were employed in the municipal administration, and that the optimal number of employees is 60 considering the number of inhabitants in the municipality of Gacko.
“That stopped the municipal administration from implementing projects, because they had to deal with solving these problems that had been trapping that local community for years”, it was noted by the President of the Republic of Srpska.
The President of the Republic emphasized that these issues must be resolved regardless of how painful it was and that it is necessary to make a cut and synergy between the Municipal Administration, the Mining and Thermal Power Plant “Gacko” and the republic’s institutions in order to implement numerous projects.
