The President of the Republic of Srpska stressed the importance of educators in each individual’s life and their role as a third parent, as well as the need to reaffirm this profession.
The President Cvijanović stressed that presentation of awards was significant, but also that the status of people in this profession would be improved, that they would create better working conditions and that their role in society should be preserved.
The President of the Republic said that in the future, educators, together with the resource ministry, will work to reform the education system.
“When they go abroad, our children achieve good results there with much more knowledge than the others”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska added that globalisation requires that children in Srpska should be prepared for future challenges, professions, knowledge that will be functional and operational and enable them to find a job that will be well paid.
The President Cvijanović highlighted that the educator is a third parent, adding that the teacher is being remembered for the rest of one`s life.
“It is enough to say that an educator is an integral part of life throughout the stages of adulthood”, said the President of Srpska.
The President Cvijanović congratulated the awarded educators and expressed hope that the presentation of Saint Sava Awards would become a tradition.
“I hope that as a society we will be able to recognise the success of educators, doctors, athletes, actors and that we should return to those values that have lost their significance because we were in a whirlwind of change and transformation”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska wished all the educators a successful work in the schools, making schools in Srpska more modern.
“I wish all of us greater success in our society, and that is the Republic of Srpska”, said the President of the Republic.
