The President of the Republic of Srpska spoke with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH

President of the Republic of Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic, spoke today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH, Petar Ivancov.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, with a focus on forming the government after the last general elections.

On this occasion, the President of the Republic pointed out that Republika Srpska was the first country in BiH to implement the election results, and that by constituting the Government, by adopting the Budget and the Economic Reform Program, Srpska showed that the formation of the government can be carried out quickly and efficiently.

On this occasion, the interlocutors assessed that the Republic of Srpska, as in the previous period, is superior to the rest in BiH, and expressed expectations that it will join the process of forming power at all levels in BiH as soon as possible.

President Cvijanovic informed Ambassador Ivanco about the preparations for marking the Republic Day and stated that January 9 will be marked solemnly and dignitly under the slogan “Proud and Eternal”.

The President thanked the Russian Federation for its excellent cooperation with the Republic of Srpska during her term as Prime Minister, and expressed her belief that a high degree of cooperation would continue in the future.
