The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović sent a telegram of condolences to the President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena deploring the bombing attacks against churches and hotels in this country.

“We are horrified by the brutal terrorist acts, especially since the victims of these hideous acts against churches were marking the greatest Christian Holiday – Easter, celebrated today by believers of the Catholic faith.

“We condemn the bombings in Sri Lanka with the strongest terms as they represent an attack against durable civilisational values and a repeated warning to all of us on the need for a common and decisive fight against terrorism.

“On behalf of the Republic of Srpska citizens, and on my own behalf, I offer my deepest condolences and sympathy to you, to the families of the tragically killed persons and to the people of Sri Lanka,” stated the Republic of Srpska President Željka Cvijanović in her telegram.
