The President of the Republic of Srpska attended the reception of the students of the winners of the Republic competitions

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended today at the Administrative Centre of the Republic of Srpska Government the reception of students – winners of Republic of Srpska level competitions.

The Republic of Srpska President stated that primary and secondary school students who achieved the best results in competitions in various fields make the whole of the Republic proud and that their successes are, at the same time, successes of the whole of society.

President Cvijanovic pointed out that, by awarding and organising a reception for the best students and teachers at the Administrative Centre of the Government, Srpska want to promote those who achieve results, but also to show the connection between pupils, their parents and educators with institutions.

“These children have shown that they are capable, ambitious and that they know how to achieve their objectives,” said President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic recalled that this is the eleventh consecutive year that such a reception is organised in order to show the willingness of institutions to help students in their future activities on their path to success.

“Here we have children who have achieved great results in which they invested a lot of effort and work. In addition, we should also express our gratitude to their parents and educators. They can always come to us for support on their path of success,” said President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska added that she is glad that significant funds were invested in education and are now producing effects.

“We have created a good environment and working conditions in education. Over the past few years, we have invested more than 130 million KM in primary and more than 110 million KM in higher education. I am pleased that the former Government fulfilled the obligation that we took upon ourselves last year and increased the salaries of employees in education. If you have co-ordinated activities and significant investments and you care, results will come,” stressed President Cvijanović.
