The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended today in Tovira near Doboj the ceremony marking the official beginning of works on the construction of the first kilometres of Corridor Vc in the territory of Srpska.
The President said that this is an important infrastructure project bringing Srpska closer to Serbia and further.
“I support the activities of the Government and other institutions in creating the preconditions for the implementation of large projects. This requires a lot of commitment and work, and those are good things for Srpska,” stated President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic stressed that she is sure the goal of building a motorway network will be implemented because citizens need development in every direction.
“Those are the preconditions for us to move forward toward overall development,” noted the President and added that the objective is a strong and developed Republic of Srpska.
“Everyone is convinced that, in accordance with the planning documents, we will succeed in implementing a motorway network by 2030. We currently have 105 kilometres, while the plan is ambitious and comprises 400 km,” said President Cvijanović.
The Republic of Srpska President added that large infrastructure and strategic projects, as well as other projects, will remain and be used by future generations, and thanked Republic and local institutions for creating the necessary preconditions for the construction of transport infrastructure, but also for the gasification of Srpska, which is a strategic project.
“I am very proud every time we start works and when we witness their finalisation”, noted President Cvijanović.
