The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, visited today in Banja Luka the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska.
The President of the Republic stated that the Republic’s institutions support the health sector in the fight against the coronavirus.
“These are difficult times both for the health sector, but also for the economy. I am satisfied with the situation at the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska, because the burden of the fight against the coronavirus is on the health workers,” said President Cvijanović.
The President of Srpska pointed out that the health sector demonstrated its ability to reorganise in accordance with the situation.
“We shall continue financing the healthcare sector, because it is important for both patients and health workers. It is important that, despite the pandemic, the planned activities in the healthcare sector in Srpska have not stopped, which is why we have distinguished guests from Serbia here. It is important that we draw knowledge and experience from top experts, which is an additional opportunity for the Republic,” noted President Cvijanović.
According to the President, it is important that doctors from Serbia assessed that the UCC is well equipped, which is a precondition for performing the most complex operations.
The President of the Republic of Srpska expressed satisfaction that Srpska demonstrated its ability to build such a facility.
“It is not the only such facility, because new, modern hospitals have been built throughout Srpska, and this was a development strategy. I thank everyone who contributed to making our healthcare look better, and our task will be to further strengthen ties with Serbia,” concluded President Cvijanović.
