The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, today visited, together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, the “Sveti Vračevi” Hospital and the Health Centre in Bijeljina.
The President of the Republic stated that she is proud of everything that healthcare workers did during the pandemic, but also of everything that the Government of Srpska did by intervening quickly, since hundreds of millions of KM were provided for the health sector under circumstances in which the whole world was thinking what to do next and whether there would be money for anything.
After visiting the Health Centre in Bijeljina, President Cvijanović said that in addition to the health sector, support was also provided to the economy, local communities, and that the Republic thus demonstrated what it can do.
“Of course you were the most dominant strength in those difficult times and we were all looking at you and tried to read your faces when you could not or were not allowed tell us something. On the other hand, the institutions proved to have the capacities of serious societies. I am proud of the Republic of Srpska and of the fact that every time there is a crisis, be it big or small, we show that we are good and solidary and that we can do more than we thought,” stated President Cvijanović and expressed satisfaction that there are new hospital facilities throughout Srpska, which, at the time of the pandemic, meant a lot.
“Now it is time for vaccination. Now we need to motivate people to get vaccinated. There is a race in the world over buying vaccines, and many more powerful states have more problems than we do in that regard,” noted the president of Srpska.
President Cvijanović pointed out that she wants to believe that everything will be different before the end of the year and that we will start the new year with better numbers and an improved situation, but with more faith.
“We have to believe in the Republic of Srpska, because only she can provide us with a framework and guarantee. If something is missing today – we will have it tomorrow, if we do not have it today – we will get it tomorrow. What is important is that we are together, both in good and in difficult times,” stressed President Cvijanović.
Thanking healthcare workers for their dedication, the President of the Republic emphasised that the institutions certainly appreciate it, as well as do the citizens.
President Cvijanović expressed her satisfaction with the fact that new activities can now be planned. “Unfortunately, there will no doubt be more challenges, but such is life. Yet we can overcome them all,” noted the President of the Republic of Srpska.
The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, today also visited the ten-member household of agricultural producers Mihajlović in the village of Donje Crnjelovo near Bijeljina.
