Republic of Srpska President Visits “Srbija” Hospital in East Sarajevo

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic, visited today the “Serbia” Hospital in East Sarajevo.

The Republic of Srpska President handed over during her visit to the “Serbia” Hospital a decision to the management of this health institution on a valuable donation – an incubator for the Paediatrics Department.

The President of the Republic stated that the area of ​​East Sarajevo is a strategic place for the development of the Republic of Srpska.

“We want to suit this area with various contents, so that our citizens have everything they need here,” said President Cvijanović after the meeting with the management of the “Serbia” Hospital headed by the director of this health institution, Nebojša Šešlija.

The President recalled that many projects were implemented in this city, especially pointing out the construction of a new hospital, and expressed satisfaction that the new building of the Institute of Transfusion Medicine will be completed and equipped soon, as well as other facilities within the hospital’s premises.

“I am pleased to be here today with these hardworking people, who have borne the greatest burden in this period of coronavirus pandemic, our healthcare workers, without whom many things would look different today. We wish to extend our gratitude to them for their persistence, dedication and hard work,” pointed out President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic added that the Government of Srpska has long recognised this region as a strategic area.

“This is why there are many infrastructure projects ongoing, as are other contents related to young people, pensioners and children,” stressed President Cvijanović, and added that she believes in the future of East Sarajevo.
