Republic of Srpska President Visits Pale Municipality

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, met today with the leadership of the municipality of Pale, headed by Mayor Boško Jugović, to discuss the implementation of development projects and the construction of local infrastructure.

After the meeting, President Cvijanović visited the construction site of the new kindergarten and the works on the rehabilitation of the building of the Pale Healthcare Centre.

While touring the construction works of the new kindergarten building, the President enjoyed the company of children of the “Bubamara” /Ladybird/ kindergarten, who on the occasion gave her a bouquet of flowers.  The President of the Republic said that Pale is the heart of life in the Republic of Srpska.

“It is a great pleasure for me that today in Pale I can see the results of the work of the mayor Boško Jugović and his administration.  What is important is that the municipal budget is stable and that the municipality is functioning well, and that we have a stable local parliament,” stated the President of the Republic.

The President of Srpska pointed out that all this, together with the support of the Republic of Srpska Government and other institutions of the republic, contributed to the fact that the inhabitants of Pale today live in a completely different environment and everyone who comes here from the outside can see these changes for the better.

“We are satisfied with the development of Pale because this is the heart of life in the Republic of Srpska and it is very important that the residents of this local community get everything they need.  We saw today that a new kindergarten is intensively being built, and, in this case, too, we will intervene and join in with the funds of the local community, so that the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the President of the Republic contribute to the completion of this facility that will benefit parents and children in Pale,” noted President Cvijanović.

According to the President of Srpska, activities will continue on the reconstruction and refurbishment of infrastructure, including the Healthcare Centre, as well as other facilities that need to be renovated in Pale.

The President of the Republic reiterated that co-operation between the local community and the Government of the Republic is extremely important.

“I am proud of the good relationship we have with the local authorities, and it is precisely because of such a good connection and co-operation between the Republic and the local community that we have managed to do so much,” affirmed the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of the Republic expressed her satisfaction that development plans for the forthcoming period are already in place in the municipality of Pale, and emphasised that this makes her especially happy.

“I am very happy that the municipality of Pale, as did also other local communities, received help and support from the Government of the Republic of Srpska during the coronavirus epidemic.  This ensured normal and stable functioning of the municipal budget,” declared President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic asserted that there is a vision of the development of Pale and confirmed that she will continue supporting that vision, as well as all good projects planned for the forthcoming period related to communal and transport infrastructure, as well as investment in educational and cultural institutions.

“The support of the Government and my personal support will not be missed, they will continue being present in Pale,” concluded President Cvijanović.
