Republic of Srpska President Speaks with Leadership of Osmaci Municipality

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, met today with the leadership of the Municipality of Osmaci.

The President of the Republic said that the Republic’s institutions are determined to work on the even development of Srpska, and that they look after the needs of even the smallest local communities, such as the municipality of Osmaci.

President Cvijanović noted that this commitment will be implemented together with the Serb member and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija, and other representatives of the Republic of Srpska in the common bodies of BiH.

After the meeting with the mayor of Osmaci, Radan Sarić, which was also attended by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija, the President of Srpska emphasised that the Republic’s institutions stand firmly by the local government in order to provide better prospects and greater security to the citizens living in this local community through projects that were discussed at the meeting.

“With the project of building a production plant in the municipality of Osmaci, more precisely in Caparde, for the manufacturing needs of the Alumina company from Zvornik, and based on the relations between Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, for which part of the funds will be provided by the Government of Serbia, we want to create better living conditions in this area,” stated President Cvijanović.

According to the President of the Republic, the infrastructure project concerning the construction of a seven kilometres long road from the locality of “Palma” to Osmaci, will be implemented by the “Putevi Republike Srpske” company, with the assistance of the Government of Srpska

“Everything related to the stay and education of children, sports associations, sports clubs, as well as the social dimension, which refers to helping large families, is something that the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Srpska, together with the Cabinet of the Mayor of Osmaci, will implement in the coming period,” added President Cvijanovic.

The President of Srpska confirmed that there was talk at the meeting about how to design projects to improve conditions in local schools, since the number of students in this local community has increased.

“We also support the project delegated to us by this local community, namely the construction of a playground for the needs of the youth, for which we will provide funding,” declared President Cvijanović.

Expressing her satisfaction that the concrete results of the co-operation between Osmaci and the Office of the President of the Republic will be seen in the coming period, the President of Srpska emphasised that she gives full support to the mayor of this local community and his team, who are trying to bring this municipality on the right path, despite having certain difficulties.

“A circumstance making this effort somewhat more difficult is that Mayor Saric came after many years of rule of some other people who left certain problems in the local budget,” added President Cvijanović.
