Republic of Srpska President Speaks Via Video Link with EU Ambassadors to BiH

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, met today via video link with the ambassadors of the European Union (EU) states to BiH.

Interlocutors exchanged views on the current political and economic situation, the ongoing epidemiological circumstances and other matters.

In this context, President Cvijanović informed the EU ambassadors to BiH about the process of mass immunisation in the Republic of Srpska, the dynamics of vaccine procurement and the measures taken by institutions of the Republic of Srpska aimed at protecting the life and health of citizens and mitigating the negative economic effects of the pandemic.

Furthermore, the meeting also discussed the process of European integration, regional co-operation, and the ways forward for solving the 14 priorities laid out in the Opinion of the European Commission.

President Cvijanović reiterated the dedication of the Republic of Srpska to its commitment to stay on the European path in accordance with the rules of the co-ordination mechanism and under full respect of the constitutional position and competencies of the Republic of Srpska institutions.
