The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, sent a congratulatory message to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH, Igor Kalabukhov, on the occasion of 12 June – the National Day of Russia.
“On occasion of the National Holiday – Russia Day, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I send you our most cordial congratulations and best wishes for the overall progress and well-being of your country and all citizens.
“I also take this opportunity to express my satisfaction with the up to now co-operation between the Republic of Srpska and the Russian Federation, as well as my deep gratitude for the support that the Russian Federation and its leadership continuously provide to the Republic of Srpska and the Serb people on matters of the greatest importance.
“We especially appreciate the commitment of the Russian Federation toward the consistent implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, as well as the stated principled positions of the Russian representatives in the UN Security Council.
“It is of utmost importance for the Republic of Srpska and her citizens to see a strong and prosperous Russia, to which we are bound by traditional friendship and are firmly determined to further strengthen the co-operation between our nations, as well as the brotherly ties of our peoples.
“With our best wishes for the further political and economic development and overall progress of Russia and her citizens, I once again congratulate you on the National Day of Russia and express our deep respect and highest appreciation,” reads the congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Srpska.
