The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, received today in Banja Luka the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH, Igor Kalabukhov, for an inaugural meeting.
The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that one of the priorities of Srpska is to improve co-operation with the Russian Federation in all segments, while at the moment, primarily in the field of healthcare.
President Cvijanović asserted that one of the most important matters is economic co-operation, and in parallel the building of political understanding, which was good in the previous period.
“We see Russia as a powerful factor that, in its acts, both globally and regionally, can benefit us all. What we especially support is the commitment to the Dayton Peace Agreement, but also the realistic views of Russia with regard to our entire region and, for many, the very complicated BiH,” said the President of the Republic.
The President of the Republic of Srpska noted that Russia understands the relations here, and what the untapped potentials are, precisely because there is a consistent political vision or prism through which this area is viewed.
