Republic of Srpska President Meets with Representatives of Republic of Srpska Association of Family Doctors

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, on occasion of the World Family Doctor Day, spoke today in her office with the representatives of the Association of Family Medicine Doctors of the Republic of Srpska.

At the meeting, also attended by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska, Alen Šeranić, the President congratulated all family medicine doctors in the Republic of Srpska on this important date, and on the 15th anniversary of the Association of Family Medicine Doctors of the Republic of Srpska.

At the occasion, President Cvijanović emphasised the great importance and role that family doctors play in the functioning of primary health care, and expressed her gratitude to family medicine doctors for the great efforts they invested, their professionalism and perseverance in fighting the coronavirus epidemic, while facing difficult challenges.

Representatives of the Association informed President Cvijanović about the status of the Association in regional and international health associations in the fight for the promotion and affirmation of the concept from the Republic of Srpska, their role in the health sector in the wider community, and the role of family medicine during the pandemic and vaccination process.
