Republic of Srpska President Meets with Finalists of Republic of Srpska Basketball Cup in Women’s and Men’s Categories
The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, received today in the Palace of the Republic the finalists of the Basketball Cup of the Republic of Srpska in the women’s and men’s categories.
The Republic of Srpska President noted that she spoke with the finalists of the Basketball Cup of Srpska in the women’s and men’s categories about support in the coming period, and pointed out that with such young people, who are dedicated to sports, Srpska has a future in sports.
President Cvijanović expressed her satisfaction for having the opportunity to talk to athletes who have contributed to the Republic of Srpska being proud of their achievements in the field of sports, and hear from them what challenges they face and what are their ambitions for the future.
“We understand that our clubs must have the support of institutions at both the local and Republic’s level, so this meeting is one of the ways to show that support. It is about our moral, institutional, but certainly also financial support, which is what we discussed today,” observed the President of the Republic.
The President of Srpska pointed out that the finalists, who showed the best skills at the Republika Srpska Cup, deserve special attention.
“I am honoured to be in their company today, to talk about what our sport in general and sports clubs need, and how to achieve better co-operation with institutions,” said the President of the Republic.
The President of the Republic of Srpska congratulated the finalists of the Cup on the achieved results, and expressed her satisfaction because they, too, are aware of the challenges that the institutions are facing, but at the same time also satisfied with the level of co-operation that exists.
“But it is never a waste to improve that co-operation and consider the ways of going even further,” concluded the President of the Republic.
