Republic of Srpska President Meets with EUFOR Commander

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović spoke today in her office with the Commander of the European Union Force in BiH (EUFOR), Major General Reinhard Trischak.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current security situation in BiH, security challenges, as well as on the activities of the Republic of Srpska institutions in the context her approaching the European Union.

On this occasion, President Cvijanović stressed that the Republic of Srpska is stable politically, economically and security wise, and that her institutions are committed to peace, stability and preserving the competencies and constitutional capacity of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of the Republic reiterated her commitment to the process of European integration, under strict adherence to the principles and rules of the co-ordination system, which fully reflects the division of competences between different levels of government in BiH.

At the occasion, President Cvijanović welcomed Commander Trischak and expressed her appreciation for the role and tasks of the EUFOR Mission in BiH.
