Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović, the Consul General of Serbia Vladimir Nikolić and the Mayor of Vukosavlje Borislav Rakić laid the foundation stone for the new municipal building in Vukosavlje and solemnly opened the Cultural Centre.
For the new municipal building, 200,000 BAM was allocated from the budget of the Republic of Srpska, 100,000 BAM was allocated from the Environmental Protection Fund and 50,000 Euros was donated by Serbia.
A total of 300,000 BAM was allocated for the Cultural Centre, of which 90 percent was provided by the Government of Srpska.
After the opening of the Centre, the President Cvijanović said that since 2006, the Government has invested around ten million BAM in this municipality on various bases.
“At every place where there is a good cooperation between local and national authorities, we can boast of good results. It is very important that we develop Vukosavlje because before it was the region without any significant infrastructure”, it was pointed out by the President of the Republic.
The President of Srpska recalled that last year the Government invested 400,000 KM in the development of rural road infrastructure in this municipality.
“A lot of work remains to be done in the coming period, but when there is a good connection between the republic and local authorities, the success is guaranteed”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of Srpska wished the residents of Vukosavlje to use the new facilities for a long time.
“Until now, the Cultural Centre and the new administrative centre were not used due to their bad conditions and they should be the heart of certain gatherings in this local community. The new administrative centre will be a better organised service and the residents will be more satisfied with the fact that they receive different services in one place”, said the President Cvijanović adding that it will be considered how school facilities and police stations can be arranged.
“We will take care of Vukosavlje in the future as well. We are satisfied since this municipality is in progress and we are working together as institutions of local and republic government”, it was emphasized by the President of the Republic of Srpska.
