Republic of Srpska President Extends Congratulations over 27 July, Anti-Fascism Uprising Day

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, sent congratulations on occasion of 27 July, the Day of the Uprising against Fascism to the participants in the People’s Liberation Struggle, their descendants and the citizens of the Republic of Srpska.

“On occasion of 27 July, the Anti-Fascism Uprising Day, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I congratulate the participants of the People’s Liberation Struggle, their descendants and citizens of Republic of Srpska on this important holiday.

“On this day in 1941, the Serb people began its struggle for liberation from fascist evil and occupation in World War II.

“In that heroic fight for its survival and freedom, it made huge sacrifices that oblige us to treasure the achievements of the glorious anti-fascist tradition and the memory of all those who suffered, as well as to protect and strengthen the Republic of Srpska for future generations,” stated President Cvijanović in her congratulatory message.
