The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović extended a telegram of condolences on the death of architect Predrag Ristić to his family, the Association of Fine and Applied Arts of Serbia and to all who respect his work.
“On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I extend our deepest condolences to the Ristić family, to the Association of Fine and Applied Arts of Serbia and to all who respect the works of the great Serb architect and artist, Predrag Ristić.
“Doctor Predrag Ristić, who was a professor at the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church of Arts and Conservation, will remain remembered for his exceptional creativity and preservation of church architecture.
“He leaves behind the most beautiful churches around the world, among which is certainly the Gračanica of Herzegovina.
“The demise of the famous Serbian architect, Dr Predrag Ristić, whose blueprints served as basis for the building of over 150 churches is an irreparable loss, not only for his family, but for the entire Serbian people,” reads the telegram of President Cvijanović.
