Republic of Srpska President Attends Marking in Bok Jankovac of 27th Anniversary of Defence of Gradiška

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović attended today in Bok Jankovac the marking of the 27thanniversary from the defence of Gradiška.

The Republic of Srpska President noted that 16 heroes who were killed defending Gradiška and the Republic of Srpska in Bok Jankovac must not be forgotten.

“The Republic of Srpska represents our freedom, and the strength of our institutions is of immeasurable importance. If our institutions stopped working, we would lose our freedom, which is why we must preserve and strengthen them,” said President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic stressed at the Bok Jankovac Memorial Complex that, by coming to visit this memorial as President of the Republic of Srpska, she wanted to show her attitude toward and respect for marking the defence of this area.

“I support the idea that this defence should become an event of Republic’s significance, as well as the idea that our children should learn about events that happened in the past, but also of things that await us in future,” said President Cvijanović.
