Republic of Srpska President Attends Celebration of Patron Saint Day of Kostajnica Municipality and of Church of Holy Trinity – Pentecost
The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, attended today in Kostajnica the celebration of the Patron Saint Day of the municipality and of the Church of the Holy Trinity – Pentecost [Duhovi] and congratulated the citizens on the holiday.
During the visit to the municipality of Kostajnica, Srpska’s President and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH attended the liturgy in the Church of the Holy Trinity, and laid wreaths at the monument to soldiers fallen in the Defence and Patriotic War.
The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, and the Council of Ministers Chairman, Zoran Tegeltija, were presented with plaques on occasion of the celebration of the Municipality’s Patron Saint, as a sign of gratitude for their selfless help in repairing the consequences of the earthquake.
The President of the Republic stated that the Republic’s institutions are there for and will work together with the local authorities to repair the material damages caused by the earthquake in the area.
“After all the hardships that happened in Kostajnica, we are thinking about how to build a better future and what facilities to assist with to help the population in Kostajnica,” said the President of the Republic.
President Cvijanović thanked the Kostajnica Mayor, Nikola Janjetović, for the plaque he handed her on occasion of the celebration of the municipality’s Patron Saint Day, as a sign of gratitude for the selfless help in repairing the consequences of the earthquake.
“On thanking Mayor Janjetović for this award, I told him that within the Republic of Srpska institutions we need to be aware that regardless of the size of a local community, our efforts must be equally focused on the small, as on the larger municipalities with a higher number of inhabitants. This means assisting communities in providing citizens with all which is necessary in terms of infrastructure, but also with other conditions and facilities, important for the everyday living of our citizens,” stressed the President of Srpska.
“I am committed to achieving this together with the Government, but also with the support of all our representatives at the level of BiH in each and every one of our municipalities, including Kostajnica,” concluded President Cvijanović.
