Republic of Srpska President Attends Academy on Occasion of City of Doboj Day
The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, attended today in Doboj the ceremonial academy on occasion of the Day of the City.
President Cvijanović said that Srpska is as strong as are her local communities, and emphasised that Doboj, which has implemented many good projects, will continue enjoying the support of the Republic’s institutions.
In her address, the President of Srpska pointed out that the celebration of the City Day of Doboj is a holiday of the whole of Srpska.
“To invest in Srpska is to invest in every municipality. I am proud of what we have done so far in Doboj, of the many worthy projects and I am also grateful to the people who recognised the needs of the citizens at the local level and delegated good projects to the Republic’s authorities in such terms that they could be implemented,” noted the President of the Republic of Srpska.
In her address, President Cvijanović assessed that the city government is responsible to the citizens, as is the Republic’s, and that it should follow the path of development despite the pandemic.
“In that sense, Srpska has shown her tenacity and capabilities. This is precisely the strength of Srpska”, stated President Cvijanović and thanked employees in the health sector who were in the frontline during the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The President of the Republic underlined that Doboj will continue enjoying the support of the Republic’s institutions, and stressed that this connection between the local and the Republic’s level is needed because without it, there can be no quality solutions to problems at the local level.
“It is important that we rely on each other and have stable local communities, which makes the future of the whole of Srpska brighter. Long live Doboj and long live Srpska!” concluded President Cvijanović.
