The President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, met today in Belgrade with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. The Serb member and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Nedeljko Čubrilović, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, and representatives of parliamentary political parties from the Republic of Srpska also attended the meeting.
The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the Republic of Srpska looks upon Serbia and is grateful for the support, but also for the security it provides.
President Cvijanović assessed that it is important to discuss all matters important for Serbia and Srpska, and one of such topics is the appointment of the new High Representative, which was made in contravention with procedures outlined in the Dayton Peace Agreement.
“This was also a great opportunity to hear from the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, about the economic successes of Serbia, which, despite all the pressures of the last decades, which continue even today, has demonstrated that it is a strong and serious state,” noted President Cvijanović.
