Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović visited the works on the reconstruction of the Health Centre in Prnjavor.

During the visit to the Health Centre in Prnjavor, where the first phase of the energy efficiency project with a total value of around 800,000 KM has started, the President of the Republic of Srpska said that such projects create better living conditions for the citizens in all municipalities and cities throughout the Republic of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović pointed out that the project in Prnjavor, which was launched at her initiative, will be of benefit to the patients, but also to the health workers who have previously borne a heavy burden due to the Coronavirus.

“We should adhere to the prescribed rules. We should respect the adopted measures in order to protect our health sector and health workers. The collapse of the health care system would mean that a large number of health care workers would be infected, sick, and it would especially imply an excessive influx of patients. People would be approached in inhumane way, because if you do not have enough capacity, accommodation and opportunities to help, I am afraid people would be medically neglected”, said the President of the Republic.

The President of the Republic of Srpska announced that in the next period, some more facilities will be rehabilitated in the area of the Health Centre in Prnjavor, so that all services distributed in different buildings would be provided with working conditions.

The President Cvijanović said that Prnjavor is no exception and that the Republic of Srpska is a large construction site, which makes us happy despite these difficult and challenging times.

“In order to succeed and to enter other phases of development, we must protect ourselves. When almost the entire world is on the knees, the states are locked up, we have decided not to do it for now. We have allowed the teaching process to take place in schools again, schools are open, catering facilities are working, actually, factories are working. In order to preserve that and survive economically, we must listen to epidemiological experts and do what they tell us”, said the President of Srpska.
