President of the Republic of Srpska visits the reconstructed basketball court of the Elementary School “St. Sava” in Zvornik

Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović visited the reconstructed basketball court next to the Elementary School “Sveti Sava” in Zvornik.

The President of the Republic emphasized that the reconstruction of this basketball court is the result of cooperation, understanding and brotherly love between Srpska and Serbia.

“It is a pleasure to implement another joint project with Serbia. This sports field is one of many projects that was implemented through joint engagement with Serbian institutions. Thanks to the donation of the Government of Vojvodina, today we have this basketball court which is intended for our children and students of this school. The intention is for this to be a field that will be used by other children, but also adults for sports gatherings and organising sports events”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska explained that Zvornik is one of the three locations where this project is being implemented. “Besides Zvornik, such fields will be built in Modriča and Ribnik. These are the same sports fields with the same purpose and intention”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska said that her connection with Zvornik has always been connected with projects related to children.

“My first intervention in Zvornik, when I was the Prime Minister, was the reconstruction of the maternity hospital, and then the investment that referred to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of schools, construction of gyms, kindergartens, and finally we have come to the sports field. I am very satisfied because, above all, it fits into our elements of population policy and the intention to create better living and growing conditions for our children, and that immediately means a healthier environment in the family and everything else that we as a society are interested in and that is upgrading and improving”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that she believes that children in Zvornik will surely enjoy this sports field, and expressed hope that in the near future one of them will grow into a great champion.

The President of Srpska thanked the Government of Vojvodina for the numerous projects they have implemented together with the Republic of Srpska.

“I am proud of everything we work and implement together, of our great projects, of the common holidays we celebrate, and especially of our understanding and brotherly love, as well as everything that makes us happy as people, and that is the success of both. Everything that happens well in Serbia always makes us happy in the Republic of Srpska, and we also know that every success we achieve in the Republic of Srpska is something that makes Serbia happy. That connection is unbreakable and so strong that these are only small indicators in the practical life of something that is great and strong”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska also visited the works on the reconstruction of the Health Centre and the reconstruction and construction of the new block of the General Hospital.
