President of the Republic of Srpska visits the municipality of Stanari

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović visited the municipality of Stanari today.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that Stanari is an example of a successful local community and announced further support for the implementation of their strategic projects.

“I am proud of what we have managed to do within less than five years and I am happy since I was the head of the Government when we made decisions on the formation of this municipality”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic stated that, after the formation of this youngest local community in Srpska, many problems started, which included separation from the city of Doboj and establishment of services, but today Stanari acts as a nicely arranged small local community that benefits greatly from being located near the highway.

“A huge contribution to development is given by the large business entity Rudnik and Thermal power plant Stanari, which employs a significant number of people, more than 800 workers”, said the President Cvijanović during a visit to the Dragalovci industrial zone in Stanari.

The President of Srpska pointed out that she supported the initiative of the local community – Mayor Dušan Panić, MP in the National Assembly of Srpska Goran Jerinić, councilors and all those who contributed to expanding the capacity for new employment and investors by creating such business zones.

“This is the time of the pandemic and now you cannot talk about deadlines, but we know that the activities have started. I am glad because the municipality will not be blocked, and will prepare itself for the time that comes after the pandemic. Certainly, this will be attractive for those who want to organise their business activities”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic pointed out that a lot has been done in terms of infrastructure in Stanari, and that she was proud of what the local government was doing, which offers a wide range of different benefits, taking into account incentives for farmers, scholarships for pupils and students, as well as the arrangement of the overall communal life.

“Cooperation with the republican authorities will be continued. The municipality enjoyed the great support of the republic authorities and it will certainly remain so in the following period as well”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska said that for the development of a municipality, it is not enough just for the Republic to take care of certain tasks, but also the local government must be ready to step forward, define good projects and be able to implement them together with the republic authorities.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that she would help to include strategic issues related to local water supply, sewerage, and other issues in Stanari into the new phase of the large Government project, considering that the first phase has already been implemented for about 35 local communities in the area of Srpska.

The President of the Republic emphasized that the strategic issue is the completion and all activities considering the regional road / R474 / towards Vitkovci, because it opens the municipality in the economic and business sense, as well as in terms of regular communication and travel.

Emphasizing that she expects that all this will result in additional development of Stanari, the President Cvijanović stated that the formation of this municipality was a respectable action.

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović paid a working visit to the Municipal Administration before visiting the industrial zone, and after that she visited the construction site on the regional road in Vitkovci.
