President of the Republic of Srpska visits the Municipality of Prnjavor

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today with the leadership of the Municipality of Prnjavor.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that today’s meeting was an opportunity to discuss the future plans with Mayor Darko Tomaš and his associates, as well as to summarise some joint results, emphasizing that many projects remained behind them.

The President Cvijanović stated that she was happy to hear about an ambitious plan from the Mayor when it comes to certain infrastructure projects.

“This will mean an additional step forward when it comes to gathering economic entities in one place within the business zone, and now we need the intervention of certain republican bodies to speed up certain procedures, to concretise that project”, said the President of Srpska.

The President of the Republic told the citizens of Prnjavor that Srpska and its institutions will work on solving all important needs, whether it is infrastructure, city centre or rural development, that they will be present and at the service of all their needs.

During her visit to the production plant of the Sanino footwear factory in Prnjavor, the President Cvijanović said that, based on information she received from the management, foreign investors have a strong interest in continuing cooperation, but also in increasing production, which is a great business opportunity.

The President of the Republic of Srpska emphasized that she understands the problem of hiring a sufficient number of labor force, which the owners of the company point out, but that the joint work of the republic and local authorities and people who deal with important economic affairs will provide what is necessary for the business.

The President of the Republic mentioned that “Sanino” employs a great number of people and that the factory is a huge resource for every municipality, even those larger than Prnjavor.

“The republican and local authorities remain obliged to work closely with businessmen, to create a better environment together and finally see the results of that joint work, as they can be seen in Prnjavor”, it was pointed out by the President of Srpska.

The President of the Republic of Srpska also visited the “Milanković” cheese factory in Donji Palačkovci near Prnjavor, which produces autochthonous types of cheese, kajmak and other dairy products in the traditional way.
