President of the Republic of Srpska visits the municipality of Derventa

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović started her visit to the municipality of Derventa by visiting the newly built January 9 Park and the meeting with the head of the local community Milorad Simić.

Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska praised the results of the work of the Mayor of Derventa Milorad Simić and his team in the previous period, as well as the stability that reigns in this local community.

The President Cvijanović said that she has been following the development of this municipality since she served as the Prime Minister of Srpska, and stated that Derventa spends funds rationally, has a low level of indebtedness and will continue to enjoy the support of republican institutions.

During her visit to the municipality of Derventa, the President of the Republic also visited the newly built January 9 Park, for which the Government of the Republic of Srpska allocated 350,000 BAM, and 130,000 BAM was provided from the municipal budget.

“Through the joint efforts of the republic and local authorities, we have made a successful place out of one place that was devastated, without perspective. We expect that it will continue to develop”, said the President Cvijanović and emphasized that Derventa in the field of economy can be an example to all local communities in Srpska.

The President of the Republic stated that a large number of foreign investors found their place in Derventa and that they managed to employ a large number of people in cooperation with the local authorities.

“When you talk to foreign investors, they state that the attitude of local authorities is very important, and they point out Derventa as a positive example”, it was added by the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic pointed out that the republic institutions have always reacted when it comes to the larger projects, and added that they will continue to support this municipality in the future.

“Our ambition is quite big when it comes to Derventa, but also the entire Republic of Srpska, to make one municipality and each city a large construction site”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.
