The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović visited the city of Derventa today and met with the city leadership.
The President of the Republic of Srpska paid a working visit to Derventa together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković and emphasized that one of the needs of this city is to expand the capacity of kindergartens, which will be supported by the Office of the President.
The President of the Republic said that the republican authorities, together with the city leadership, will solve the issue of the Elementary School “Nikola Tesla”, damaged in the earthquake in 2020, which will be a project of great importance for 850 students attending this school.
“I am pleased that we had the opportunity to get acquainted with some development plans of Derventa, but also the needs of this city, to which we will react as republic institutions”, said the President of Srpska.
The President of the Republic added that the republican government strives to intervene towards all local communities through numerous projects, especially those related to the improvement of conditions in schools and kindergartens, for youth and sports associations.
“These are our priorities, but every other good project, which is in the function of local development, is something that is supported by the institutions of the Republic of Srpska. I am satisfied that the Government and the Office of the President of the Republic can often join forces and support projects for the benefit of citizens”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that it is equally important to renew the road infrastructure, build highways, and reconstruct the road network that connects local communities.
According to the President of the Republic, the Government and the “Roads of Srpska” are engaged in the common goal that Srpska has modern communications, the highest quality road infrastructure, which is necessary for citizens, tourists and the economy.
“Today, we also discussed how to make Derventa more open and accessible when it comes to the highway, which will mean a lot to the economy in this city”, added the President Cvijanović.
After visiting the company “Amika”, the President of the Republic of Srpska said that it is always a pleasure to see a positive business climate, and pointed out that Derventa is recognised by many foreign investors as a place where you can do good business.
“We are interested since these are people who have credible jobs, who can fulfill their obligations towards workers and the state. What makes Derventa special is its overall export potential, the potential it has, precisely because of such a large number of economic entities here”, it was emphasized by the President of Srpska.
The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović also visited the company “Digital Elektronik”.
