Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović visited “Petar Petrović Njegoš” Elementary School in Velika Obarska near Bijeljina.
The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the governments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia have provided significant funds for the construction of a gym in that school, that part of the construction work has been completed and that funds have been provided for the completion of the work, but that property and legal issues need to be resolved.
The President of Srpska called on the Mayor of Bijeljina and representatives of the local government to resolve the remaining property issues, so that the gym at the “Petar Petrović Njegoš” Elementary School could be brought to full use and make it easier to attend classes.
“I want to end the construction of the school and the gym as soon as possible and to thank the Government of Serbia which allocated significant funds. It would be a shame if we did not do it as soon as possible”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic expressed her satisfaction since 280 students attend that school, and next year two classes will be enrolled, adding that the next school year is ready to start.
“I see a general development here and I want to support the locals because many of them live from agriculture”, said the President of Srpska.
Reminding that the next school year will soon begin, the President of the Republic of Srpska wished a happy beginning to all educators, children and parents in Srpska.
