The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović visited the town of Glina in Croatia, which was hit by a devastating earthquake in December last year with the most severe consequences.

The President Cvijanović visited the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Glina, and walked through the city where damage is visible everywhere.

After visiting Glina, the President of the Republic also visited Majske Poljane, a village near Glina with 195 inhabitants, which suffered enormous damage in the recent earthquake.

Out of a total of seven victims of the devastating earthquake in this village, five locals lost their lives.

Ten accommodation containers were provided with funds from the budget of the President of the Republic of Srpska for families endangered by the devastating earthquake.

The President Cvijanović stated that one of those containers was handed over to the Kukoleča family, with whom she had the opportunity to meet today.

“Solidarity and assistance to endangered families will not be lacking in the next period either”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.
