The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković met today in Belgrade with the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that it is a very important fact that Serbia has the most important role in the region and therefore it is pleasant to know that Srpska has such a country to rely on for everything it does, for economic, social, political and any other endeavors aimed at the stability of the Republic.
The President Cvijanović stated that this visit was a continuation of cooperation aimed at strengthening institutional and all other ties between Serbia and Srpska.
“Ahead of Serbia, but also ahead of the Republic of Srpska, in every phase of development, there are some difficult issues or some challenging situations, and that is also the case nowadays. We were willing to hear from the President of Serbia about the situation and the intentions regarding future talks and negotiations that are being announced, but also to thank for everything that Serbia has provided for the Republic of Srpska under his leadership and with the support of the Government of Serbia thus showing care for the population, its people and the Republic of Srpska”, it was pointed out by the President of Srpska.
The President of the Republic emphasized that Serbia thus shows that it puts Srpska high on the list of priorities it deals with.
“We are very grateful for that, because we have always wanted our relations to develop in that way, and we have been waiting for that for many years. Today’s relations and cooperation confirm what the relationship between Serbia and Srpska should actually be like”, it was stated by the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska added that several important economic topics and investments in the field of energy were discussed at the meeting, which will be taking accelerated steps forward as preconditions have been created to finally enter the implementation of large projects.
