The Republic of Srpska President, during her stay in the United States of America, met in Atlanta with representatives of the NCR Corporation.
The meeting, held in the headquarters of this US company, discussed the possibilities of expanding co-operation with and business activities in the Republic of Srpska, as well as the inclusion of Srpska in world markets.
At the occasion, President Cvijanović assessed that NCR’s entry into our market also sends a good message to other companies conveying that Srpska is a good place for investments and expressed her satisfaction with the fact that NCR’s operations in Banja Luka made it possible for the Republic of Srpska to become an integral part of the global market and find herself on the list of the world’s destinations for software, science innovation and technology.
Co-operation between Srpska and this reputable company, she said, meant new jobs for and employment of trained and qualified staff from among the younger population, proficient in technology and with excellent language skills, but also improved the competitiveness of Srpska as compared to others in the region.
The meeting stressed that NCR chose Banja Luka and the Republic of Srpska as destination for investment because of talented and expert labour force, telecommunication infrastructure, commitment of the Government to the programme of support to job creation, and expressed conviction that this strategic partnership will bring good results also in future.
The operations of NCR Corporation, which is successfully working in Banja Luka since 2016 and employing 300 persons, are the result of negotiations that President Cvijanović, together with the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Washington, led during her earlier visits to the United States.
During her stay in the United States, the President of the Republic of Srpska will have separate meetings in Washington with representatives of US institutions.
