President of the Republic of Srpska, Serb member of the BiH Presidency and Chairman of the Council of Ministers meet with the Mayor of Istočno Novo Sarajevo

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović, Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija met today in Istočno Novo Sarajevo with the Mayor Jovan Katić.

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that today’s meeting in Istočno Novo Sarajevo was held in order to see how the republican and local authorities, i.e. institutions, should move forward, in accordance with the needs of the citizens.

“This is a developed local community with ambitious plans for the future, even so ambitious are the intentions of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska to continue to be available to the local community and the needs of its citizens”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska expressed satisfaction with the large investments in this area and announced the construction of a new school, especially since this municipality is recording a good birth rate.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that today East Sarajevo is a developed and modern city, which, like the municipality of Istočno Novo Sarajevo, has good communication with the republic institutions.

The President of the Republic reminded that the republic institutions also financed the construction of kindergartens in the city.

„My message has always been that when we have hardworking and diligent people who know how to define local priorities and know how to run their own projects at the level of the Republic of Srpska institutions, our support has never been and will never be lacking”, said the President of Srpska.

The President Cvijanović added that in the coming period she will visit other municipalities within East Sarajevo with the aim of strengthening cooperation between local communities and republic institutions.

Today’s meeting in East New Sarajevo was also attended by the Mayor of East Sarajevo, Ljubiša Ćosić.
