The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović sent a telegram of condolences to the family of the deceased Senator of the Republic of Srpska, the President of the Jewish Cultural Centre and longtime Special Representative and Head of the Economic Representation Office of the Republic of Srpska in Israel Arie Livne.
“With great sadness and regret, I have received the news on the death of Arie Livne, Senator of the Republic of Srpska, President of the Jewish Cultural Centre and longtime Special Representative and Head of the Economic Representation Office of the Republic of Srpska in Israel.
There is always a gap behind everyone’s departure, and when the biggest ones leave, such gap is difficult to fill. Arie Livne is one of that kind.
The Republic of Srpska has lost an extraordinary person. It lost a great man who, through his rich, but also difficult life, performing many duties, showed and proved countless times that he is a friend of our people and an admirer of the Republic of Srpska.
The memory of, I shall be free to say, our uncle Arie, will remain forever preserved in the hearts of his family, as well as all of us who had the honor to know, love and respect him.
Dear family of Livne, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and on my own behalf, I extend expressions of respect and deepest condolences to you”, it is stated in the telegram of the President Cvijanović.
