The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović received today in her office the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to BiH Ivan Sabolić in an inaugural visit and the newly appointed Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Banja Luka Zoran Piličić with whom she discussed the current political and economic situation in Srpska and BiH, as well as opportunities for improving economic cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Croatia.
At the meeting, they expressed satisfaction with the recent commencement of the construction of the bridge over the Sava River near Gradiška, and noted that it was an important infrastructure project for both Srpska and BiH, as well as for Croatia and the entire region.
During the meeting, the President Cvijanović highlighted that consistent compliance with the Dayton Agreement and respect for constitutional structure that implies the full equality of the three constituent peoples is crucial for enhancing political dialogue and the smooth functioning of joint institutions at the BiH level.
The President of Srpska welcomed the Ambassador Sabolić and Consul General Piličić and expressed the expectation that the cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Croatia would be even more intense in the coming period.
