The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović received today in her office the newly appointed Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to BiH Dimitrios Papandreou in an inaugural visit.
During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska, as well as other current topics in BiH and the region.
The possibilities of strengthening all types of cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the Hellenic Republic were discussed at the meeting.
The interlocutors assessed that traditionally good and friendly relations are a good foundation for upgrading cultural ties, existing economic cooperation, as well as the implementation of specific economic projects.
With the aim of strengthening Serbian-Greek ties, the President Cvijanović stressed the commitment of the Republic of Srpska Representation Office in Thessaloniki, which is actively working on promotion of the cultural and economic potentials of the Republic of Srpska.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic thanked the brotherly Greek people for the selfless help they provided to the Republic of Srpska and the Serb people in difficult times, and wished the newly appointed ambassador a warm welcome to the Republic of Srpska and a successful mandate.
