President of the Republic of Srpska receives the Ambassador of the United States of America to BiH in an inaugural visit

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović received today in her office the Ambassador of the United States of America to BiH H. E. Eric Nelson in an inaugural visit.

The President Cvijanović and the Ambassador Nelson discussed the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, as well as the improvement of cooperation between the United States of America and the Republic of Srpska.

On this occasion, the President Cvijanović highlighted that the institutions of the Republic of Srpska are fully committed to the process of the European integration, and to the further implementation of economic and social reforms aimed at improving the economic environment and the living standards of all citizens.

In a conversation with the US Ambassador, the President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that respecting democratic procedures and exercising the electoral will of the citizens, which involves the formation of a new convocation of the Council of Ministers, are the presumption of the legitimate functioning of joint institutions, as well as the efficient solution of very demanding tasks on the European path.
