The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović received today, in her office, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to BiH Ji Ping in an inaugural visit.
The current political and economic issues in the Republic of Srpska, in the light of improving the economic and cultural cooperation between Srpska and China were discussed at the meeting.
The President Cvijanović stressed that positive experiences with Chinese companies in the implementation of significant projects in the field of transport infrastructure, energy and health, have led to an increasing interest of Chinese investors for investments in Srpska.
The interlocutors pointed out that the introduction of a visa-free regime between China and BiH opens up the space for intensifying cooperation in the field of tourism and education, which would, as pointed out, additionally improve the friendly relations between the Republic of Srpska and China.
It was jointly assessed that intensifying cooperation in the fields of mutual interest should still be in the focus of relations between Srpska and China.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik, the views on other current economic and political issues in the Republic of Srpska and BiH were exchanged with reference to the previous general elections.
