President of the Republic of Srpska receives the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to BiH in an inaugural visit

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović received today in her office the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to BiH Olav Reinertsen in the inaugural visit.

The current political situation, the consequences of the corona virus epidemic on the economy and other current topics were discussed at the meeting.

On this occasion, the President Cvijanović thanked the Ambassador Reinertsen for the humanitarian aid since the Kingdom of Norway was among the first to send aid to health institutions in the Republic of Srpska just after the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic.

The interlocutors assessed that in the coming period, they should work on strengthening economic cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the Kingdom of Norway, with special emphasis on investments in the field of green energy, as well as information technologies.

The President of the Republic wished the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway a welcome to the Republic of Srpska and success in his mandate during his diplomatic mission in BiH.
