The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović and Mayor of Sokolac Milovan Bjelica presented the keys of 17 flats to the users of alternative accommodation in a newly built building in Sokolac today.
The President Cvijanović said that great efforts and joint work of the municipality, as well as the Ministry of Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Republic of Srpska that is the current Secretariat, were invested in the construction of the flats for the existing users of alternative accommodation.
The President of the Republic highlighted that many projects have been implemented jointly with the Municipality of Sokolac.
“The Government of Srpska has invested almost 40 million BAM for various projects. Last year, we invested more than 800,000 BAM”, said the President Cvijanović and thanked the local government for cooperation, but also the students of the Elementary School who came to welcome the President of Srpska as a sign of gratitude since the Government helped to implement the building heating project of the Elementary School in Sokolac.
“There is a commitment, we shall work together for better living conditions, for better Sokolac and more beautiful Republic of Srpska. Everything we do in any part of the Republic counts as a collective result showing our strength to resist in difficult times, to overcome obstacles and to show that we are people who care about each other”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska who laid flowers at the Central Cross at the Military Cemetery “Mali Zejtinlik” during her visit to Sokolac.
Previously, the President of the Republic met with the Mayor of Sokolac Milovan Bjelica and his associates and therefore discussed four projects that the local administration implemented together with the Government of the Republic of Srpska in this local community.
