Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović was presented with the Charter of the University of Banja Luka on the occasion of 45 years of work and development of this high education institution.
The explanation states that the President Cvijanović is a person with a rich political and professional career, and a person who recognises the priorities and needs in the development of the University of Banja Luka with her professional engagement and work.
“The President Cvijanović, as the Prime Minister of Srpska from 2014 to 2018, and then the President of Srpska from 2018, continuously provided support to the University, making a great contribution to improving its spatial and material-technical capacities and improving working conditions, which led to the increase of University reputation”, it is stated in the explanation of the decision on awarding the recognition, which was presented to the President of the Republic by the Rector of the University of Banja Luka Radoslav Gajanin at the ceremonial academy in Banja Luka.
In addition, it is added that the President Cvijanović contributed to the growth of the College of Internal Affairs into the Faculty of Security Sciences, which is part of the University.
The University Charter is awarded as a special type of recognition for acts and work of general importance for the University.
