The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović participated today in Banja Luka in the conference “Child Care: Joint Responsibility and Obligation”.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that it is especially important how to mark the educational component within our educational system.

“There are many challenges before parents, children themselves, but also before teachers and institutions when it comes to caring for children. The name of this conference itself says that it should be the obligation of all of us”, explained the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic thanked the educators, psychologists involved in these activities, but also the international partners who support the institutions of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of Srpska stated that the programme has a national dimension, which means that all children in the Republic of Srpska are included.

“We wanted to test our own abilities in terms of the staff we have. We have professional people who can, together with international partners and all others who deal with these issues, come up with adequate answers”, said the President Cvijanović.

According to the President of the Republic, it is necessary to recognise the problems in time, which should come from the parents themselves, but also educators, who spend enough time with children, also have their role in recognising and then eliminating the problems.

“Institutions are here to create an adequate framework and must offer an answer to certain problems we are facing. We are trying to identify these conditions, to see how we can best offer a joint response from parents, teachers and institutions”, it was added by the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The President of Srpska reminded that many schools have been reconstructed, and that care has been taken constantly on how to approach the education process, modernise it, harmonise it with what the needs of today are.
