Today, the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović, Serb Member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, Laktaši Mayor Ranko Karapetrović and kindergarten “Bajka” Director Nataša Trninić opened a new kindergarten in Aleksandrovac for 60 children.

The President of the Republic assessed that the opening of the kindergarten “Bajka” in Aleksandrovac is a significant step forward in the overall preschool education of Srpska and the intention is to provide the widest possible coverage of children in urban and rural areas.

The President Cvijanović highlighted that conditions were being created for doing this throughout the Republic of Srpska, because so far the process has been carried out in different facilities.

“This is a good model of pooling of funds. The Government of the Republic of Srpska has provided 800,000 BAM, but there are also donations from Switzerland and UNDP. We have also used the mechanism of cooperation between domestic and international financial organisations”, said the President of the Republic.

According to the Republic of Srpska President, this is a development opportunity for Srpska, since it helps parents align their business and family responsibilities, and the education process is being differently approached.

“This opens up some other opportunities, because the kindergarten employs 11 people, which contributes to the development of the Republic”, said the President Cvijanović.
