The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović opened an International Conference “Forward” in Banja Luka today, dedicated to digital transformation and the concept of smart city development, attended by more than 300 experts from the Republic of Srpska, BiH and Europe.
The President of the Republic of Srpska highlighted that one of the strategic development goals in Srpska is digital transformation.
“We see a big development opportunity in this. The conference is an opportunity to talk about specific solutions, i.e. about where the modern world is headed, what modern administration and the economy mean and to see what is the extent that gives the opportunity for development and additional employment”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that 313 companies in Srpska are in the information technology sector and employing 7,000 workers, and that it is evident that this industry is developing.
“Countries that strive to be modern and organised must have modern technologies on which to base their economic growth. I am happy that the Republic of Srpska is trying to keep up with developed societies”, it was added by the President Cvijanović.
