President of the Republic of Srpska opens a new facility of the Banja Luka – Lauš Police Station

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović, the Minister of the Interior Dragan Lukač and the Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojičić opened a new facility of the Police Station Banja Luka – Lauš in the Banja Luka settlement of Lauš, with a total value of 1.3 million KM.

The President Cvijanović said that this is one in a series of projects that the Government and the city worked on together.

“I am happy because we initiated this story while I was the Prime Minister. A lot will be done in the coming period and that is why we need stability in every local community”, it was pointed out by the President of the Republic at the opening ceremony.

The President of the Republic of Srpska added that this was a great day for both Lauš and Banja Luka, but also for the Republic of Srpska, and that all citizens of Srpska are proud of what Banja Luka is today.

“In Banja Luka, we have a stable and responsible government that recognises what the needs of citizens are. Everything we are doing today implies better Republic of Srpska”, said the President of the Republic.

The President of the Republic of Srpska believes that the new facility in Banja Luka was ceremoniously opened today, which houses the Lauš Police Station and the premises of local communities Lauš 1 and Lauš 2, and it is a proof of the strength and responsibility of republic and local authorities to solve citizens’ problems.

The President Cvijanović stressed that this was one among hundred projects, implemented in the area of ​​Banja Luka, which shows equal access to all citizens, regardless of which part of the city they live in.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to open this important facility and show that we are able to implement projects together, through the cooperation between the local community and the Government of the Republic of Srpska, in this case the Ministry of the Interior, which in this way received an adequate space and prerequisites for better work of the members of the Ministry of the Interior”, said the President of the Republic.

According to the President Cvijanović, better conditions for the work of the Police Station imply better engagement on the entire territory of the Republic of Srpska in the function of the safety of all citizens.

“On the other hand, the administrative centre will meet the needs of our residents, there are many of them, them who can now solve all their problems in one place, in a modern facility”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic added that this is one of the projects that changed the image of this part of the city and provided far greater functionality than before.

“I welcome the efforts of the local administration, led by the Mayor, because through the cooperation with our citizens, they defined the most important needs, and then they made an arrangement with the Government of the Republic of Srpska and implemented projects”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of Srpska pointed out that she was proud of what Banja Luka shows today as the capital, but also of the fact that all other cities and municipalities of Srpska are staring at Banja Luka and view every Banja Luka success as their own and the entire Republic success.

“We will continue to develop Banja Luka and that is why we need responsible institutions and authorities and very good cooperation between the republic and local authorities”, said the President of the Republic of Srpska.

The new building of the Police Station is purpose-built, modern and functional, with an area of ​​about 450 square meters and at the same time it is the first building of the Police Station built in Banja Luka after more than 30 years.

It is a dual-purpose facility in which the Police Station is located in one part, and the offices of the local communities Lauš 1 and Lauš 2 in the other part of it.
