President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the representatives of the Association of Catering and Tourism Employers of the Republic of Srpska „HoReCa RS” and representatives of the Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in Banja Luka with the representatives of the Association of Catering and Tourism Employers of the Republic of Srpska “HoReCa RS” and the representatives of the Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians at the Chamber of Crafts and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska. 

The President of the Republic of Srpska stated that the taxes and contributions for March will be paid to the caterers and workers in the hairdressing and cosmetics sector and that they all have the same task, and that is to protect the health sector in Srpska.

“The meeting was constructive, and as soon as the conditions are met, we will have the gradual opening”, said the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic stated that the issue of their access to the Guarantee Fund would be considered.

The President of the Republic of Srpska assessed that it is extremely important since the concern for the citizens health was expressed at the meeting.

 “We have agreed on several important points. Certainly, we express our concern for the people of Srpska, because today’s figures are also alarming. We want to get through all this with as little damage as possible. We all have the same task, to create measures, to preserve the health system, but also to preserve jobs in the economy. The measures were forced, but we will all go through this together”, it was added by the President Cvijanović.

According to the President of the Republic, part of the issue will be resolved in the long run, and the short-term goal is to keep the present jobs.

“We must also consider the possibility of reprogramming certain obligations. We understand their appeals and it is certain that they will meet the requirements related to the working hours. We will also benefit from the upcoming nice weather because they will work in the gardens of cafes”, it was added by the President Cvijanović.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that they were trying to find a way to jointly overcome the problems and fulfill all obligations, and reminded that the prescribed measures did not envisage the closure of the kindergarten.

 “The institutions of Srpska cooperate with all associations, and I am proud because we nurture good cooperation with social partners as well. We want to look at the situation every week, and it is important for us to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus and to cease the huge pressure on the health sector”, said the President of the Republic and reminded that the institutions of Srpska are stable.

The President of the Republic of Srpska assessed that it is very important that the immunization process has begun in Srpska.

When it comes to the Serbia’s initiative for the regional procurement of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine, the President of the Republic said that Srpska supports every regional initiative.

 “Unfortunately, sometimes we need time to convince political Sarajevo to participate in regional issues, such as the “little Schengen”. Serbia is a leader in immunization and I support everything that means regional cooperation”, said the President Cvijanović.

The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister of Srpska Radovan Višković and the Serb member and Chairman of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik.
