The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met with the President of the Assembly of European Regions (AER) Magnus Berntsson during the second day of the European Summit of Regions and Cities held in Bucharest.
At the meeting with Berntsson, they discussed the current activities and structure of the Assembly of European Regions, whose member is the Republic of Srpska since 2007, as well as the relation of Srpska with other regions that are members of this organisation.
On this occasion, the President Cvijanović stressed that the Republic of Srpska is interested in strengthening cooperation and in active engagement within the Assembly which gathers 35 regions from all parts of Europe.
During the Summit in Bucharest, the President of the Republic of Srpska met with the Chairman of the Bratislava Region Juraj Droba, with whom she discussed the experiences of Slovakia in the process of joining the European Union, as well as the economic cooperation between Srpska and Bratislava within the European Entrepreneurship Network (EEN).
The two-day European Summit of Regions and Cities, participated by the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović, was concluded today with the adoption of a joint declaration. The President of Romania Klaus Iohannis addressed the participants at the end of the Summit.
