President of the Republic of Srpska meets with the OHR delegation

The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović met today in her office with the OHR delegation led by the High Representative to BiH Valentin Inzko.

The meeting was also attended by the newly appointed First Deputy High Representative and Brčko Supervisor Michael Scanlan and the current political situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH was discussed.

During the meeting with the OHR delegation, the President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the elections in BiH were held more than six months ago, and that it was a high time for the new convocation of Council of Ministers to be formed, as well as a legitimate government at all levels.

On this occasion, the President Cvijanović stressed that the institutions of the Republic of Srpska are fully committed to the process of the European integration, adding that the implementation of election results in BiH is a necessary condition for obtaining a candidate status for joining the European Union.
